Just some thoughts
I'm officially done with my first day of camp, woooo!! I taught 3 basketry classes and my biggest class was 4 people lol. My smallest was one person. At first I was a little shaky because I have never taught before, but by the last class I think I got a good grasp of teaching basketry. So far having scouts on the grounds is much better than it was during staff week. Although I do miss just eating with my friends, instead of eating with the scouts. Other than that it has been pretty good. All of the scouts are nice and they obey the staff, which is pretty nice. Well, that's about all for now I just thought I should update this since like this past weekend. Oh and if I haven't mentioned this before, Wolverine is an AMAZING movie. Hugh Jackman is soooo freakin hot! Lol! Not to mention it was a very entertaining movie. Oh yeah and Ryan Reynolds is in it too! He's not really in it for more than oh...15 minutes tops but still he's pretty good lookin too. Ok, for real now...I'm going to bed. Later gaters!

Camp...
Yesterday I moved into my cabin at camp, woo what fun! Anywho, everyone is nice and pretty humorous. I'm enjoying it thus far, but I have yet to actually teach so we will see lol. In other news, Brandon made me mad yesterday lol. I know right, Brandon and I are fighting...like that ever happens lol jk. So anyway I was upset with him because when I got to Ransburg he like wouldn't even hug me or give me a kiss...he wouldn't even hold my hand. I was pretty upset about this so I was mean to him practically all day. I understand that we shouldn't do that when scouts are around but news flash, it's STAFF weekend...there aren't any scouts around. Well, I think I finally got the message through that he can't treat me like that and last night he apologized and today he hasn't been acting that way. Sooo pretty much, that's all that has been going on. I'll keep you guys updated!!

Good News
I had my dermatologist appointment today woo! Everything checked out ok and I do not have skin cancer. Thank goodness! Now my only real worry is my fathers appointment in a couple of weeks. Tomorrow I'm going to Muncie house! Woo, it's going to be fun :-)

So many things...
Sooo I'm leaving for camp on Sunday, exciting right? Kind of but not really. It is because I think I'll have a lot of fun this summer but it isn't because I'm stuck worrying about things at home. My Dad told me tonight he had a doctors appt bc he has been in pain for over a year and well I have an awful feeling that it's cancer. I really hope it isn't and my hunch is wrong, but unfortunatly, I think I'm right. The other thing that I'm stuck worrying about is tomorrow. I have a dermatoligist appt to check out my moles because they could be pre-cancerous. So basically, a lot of worrying has been going on. Oh, and I've also been worrying about Mr. Martin. I really hope he will be ok. Welp, that's all for now. I can't wait for Friday because I get to hang out with some of my friends...I'm sure they will get my mind off of things. I'll ttyl peeps!

The Apt
So I know you guys are really excited for next years, well this May's living arrangements but I'm honestly kind of regretting my decision. I love all of the guys I will be living with next year, esp my boyfriend lol, but I'm afraid that I'll be really miserable at times. For instance, I was just talking to one of them about what we would do with the ac and when we would turn it on. Well, it's be in the 80's this weekend and he said he wouldn't turn the heat on, where I would. I just don't think the guys will understand stuff like that. I'm sorry, but I need ac when it gets to be that warm outside. My hair is already a curly mess and if I had to get ready in 80 degree weather, I will feel miserable and pissed off from trying to tame my hair. Another reason I think I'll be miserable is because in the winter they won't have the heat on a lot. I don't mind wearing sweats and a hoodie around the apt in the winter, but if my feet are still frozen solid, that's a problem. Although, I'd rather be cold in the winter than hot in the summer simply because I can always put more clothing on in the winter. In the summer, I can only get in my birthday suit and well we all know I wouldn't nor shouldn't walk around in my bday suit. I know it seems dumb to obsess about something that is a few months away and that I don't really know what's going to happen, I'm just worried that I'll be right.
On another, happy note...I had a really good weekend. Brandon and I had a few really good conversations and it just reminded me why I love him so much. I know, I'm sappy, but I can't help it. I can't wait until you guys meet him, I think you'll like him. He's kind of shy at first, but once you get to know him he's funny and really sarcastic. Friday we went to the Carnival and it wasn't too bad. Saturday, the guys had a party at the apt and I finally got to drink!! Yay me lol! The apt was a little on the warm side, but it was still a lot of fun. Even though I didn't drink that much, I ended up getting sick :-( no fun. And today, Sunday, Brandon and I hung out w/ his roommates and played ladder ball. Then we watched some tv, woo hoo lol. Welp, that's the re-cap of my weekend. I hope you guys all had a good one! Oh and have fun @ the concert this week! I'm so jealous! You guys better take lots and lots of pictures!! Later Gaterz!

CarNiVaL
Carnival is BSU's "biggest event" of the year. Anywho, it's basically like the Bluffton Street Fair only smaller and less food. Brandon, Casey, Katie, Kyle, Lauren, Elizabeth, and myself all went to it tonight. Yeah, well this years Carnival kind of sucked. First off, they were supposed to have elephant ears and they didn't. If you didn't know, elephant ears are seriously my favorite fair food so I was pretty bummed that they didn't have any. Secondly, all of the rides kind of sucked except for the Freak Out, it pretty much rocked lol. And thirdly, the lines were WAAAAY too long. The street fair has long lines with some of the rides, but seriously the lines at Carnival were 3 times as long, no joke. Thankfully, I got to ride the one ride I wanted to before it broke down lol. I'm so glad we went straight to that ride first. Oh so I've never ridden anything that takes me upside down and I now know why I shouldn't ride rides like that. Not only do they suck being upside down, but since I'm so short...the restraints don't really work. I rode this ride and they had a lap bar and the thingy that goes over your chest and shoulders. Yeah ok, anytime we were upside down, I was holding on tightly to the lap bar and the other restraint bc I would fall all the way to the top of my seat. To say the least, it was scary as hell. Casey, Brandon, and I tried the one game where you use a rubber mallet to hit the scale that can hit the bell at the top. Yeah well they both hit the bell and I didn't :-( I only got the thingy up to a 7.5 I think. Anyway, I guess that's not bad for a girl...but I don't care I still think it's kind of wussy for myself.
Tomorrow is supposed to be like it was today and I'm really excited about that. It's supposed to be in the lower 80's or upper 70's idk which, but idc bc either is fine with me! Well, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Later gaters! :-)

Small Schools...
So I've been thinking a lot lately about how Mr. Mitch Daniels wants small schools to consolidate. Personally, I really, really don't think schools should consolidate. In the time I spent at Southern Wells, I loved it. Yes, I thought it would be nice to have more classes to broaden my learning experience but I loved Southern Wells. I felt that SW had plenty of opportunities to excel in classes. The student/teacher ratio was so good that all of the students knew every teacher and more than likely, had talked to everyone one of them at least once in their high school career. Yes, some of the school's beliefs were close-minded, just like some of the teachers. But I didn't mind that. I felt that even if a teacher disliked you that they didn't hold it against you. Here at BSU, I've heard plenty things about professors that hold grudges all semester, and they're PROFESSORS. I think SW was a humble, great place to learn and I think it's awful that Mitch Daniels wants to get rid of other small schools like mine. I believe that an abnormal amount of students would be lost in the school system and therefore, be left behind to fend for themselves. In a big school system, students don't have as many opportunities to play sports, or be in band and choir. They may have the opportunity to try-out, but with a huge group of kids trying-out, only a limited number will get through. Yes, I myself would get upset when my coaches would keep kids that weren't very good in a sport because in the real world, if you aren't good enough you get kicked out or dismissed. But as I look back, I'm glad they did because it gave that student a chance to better themselves and work hard for something. I honestly believe sports, choir, show choir, and band gives students more discipline than if they weren't in anything like that. I know a lot of my discipline came from playing basketball. If you weren't on time, the team ran, if you didn't hustle, the team ran, if you forgot something, the team ran. This all relates to real-life scenarios, if you have a huge presentation and you forget the presentation materials, it's your fault and your team suffers the consequences. If a student doesn't have a chance to play in a sport or be in band or choir, where will they learn discipline? There parents? Maybe, but we all know that not ALL parents do such things. Maybe the student could get a job, yes that entails responsibility and discipline. But until that kid is 15 or 16, they can't get a job. I don't know about you, but I want my kids to be responsible and well-disciplined when they are younger than 15 or 16. Personally, I think small schools are the way to go. I liked my small, humble school and I would never trade my experience @ SW to go to another, bigger school. I knew everyone, the teachers were great, and I received a good education. I'm not saying big schools wouldn't provide that, but I think small schools are more likely to provide those things to more students. Education should be Indiana's prime concern because they teach our future leaders. So let's not lose more kids in the system because we want big schools instead of small ones.
Sorry if this is a little long, but I had to get it off of my chest. I'm a lil upset that they let 5 teachers go and that Daniels wants to consolidate small schools.

Spring!!
All I can say is, it's about damn time!! Spring seems like it's finally here. I honestly hope that the weather stays like this until winter. I love it!
Since it's such a lovely day, as was yesterday, I'm assuming everyone is having a good weekend so far. And I hope you guys have fun on Sunday. I saw 17 again last night and well, you won't be disapointed. It was great! Not to mention Zac Efron is SOOO gorgeous.
Ok, so this weekends plans entail Noodles & Co. for dinner tonight, drag show, party, and Sunday Brandon's parents are coming down soo more free food lol. Sounds like a pretty good weekend to me. Oh, I forgot to add that I'm probably going to Best Buy today because I need new battery charger for my stupid laptop. Ugh, I seriously hate this thing. I really wish I bought a Macbook instead. I love Brandon's laptop, I just wish I knew the set-up of a macbook before I bought my laptop because I wouldn't have had to worry about learning a whole new set-up. Oh well, maybe in a year or so I'll buy a macbook and I'll give my laptop to my sister.
I woke up this morning, checked my email and saw I had an email from BSU. I continued to read this email because it was a publice concern. Someone called in a bomb threat to Lafollette. Good news, the police and police dogs didn't find any bombs. But my concern, why on earth would someone call in a bomb threat to a dorm? I mean seriously, what would that do? I mean yes, it would hurt all of the families of students, but Ball State WANTS Lafollette torn down. So technically, it wouldn't hurt Ball State like the person may have thought. Another thing, if it was a 'practical joke' it's a really dumb one. No one takes that stuff jokingly and if they are caught they are in deep shit, so why would a person do such a stupid thing? I swear some people are seriously dumb and should just be shot. Just sayin... lol
Ok welp, that's the amazingly boring things in my life as of today and this weekend so far. Oh, Brandon was sweet and bought me a memory card for my camera, yay me! :-) I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Later gaters!

Random...
I guess since our blogs are going to be out tomorrow at 2 in the am, I'll write mine now.
Anywho...nothing new lol. Tomorrow is Thursday and I'm pretty happy it will be because it's a day closer to the weekend and, oh yeah, I don't have class on Friday soo Thursday night is the start of my weekend. Woot woot!
On a random note... I have this weird thing where I get bored and I go onto webmd and basically search anything and everything that's bothering me. I honestly think it's a bad habit that I really need to break. I like get into these articles where it says like it's symptoms of a brain tumor and crap and well that scares the shit out of me. I know, more than likely, that I don't have anything like that but still, the idea is there. Anyway, I guess I should really just pose all of the body questions to my doctor next month. Yay...the yearly is coming up. UGHHH, no fun.
Ummm this weekend...... NOTHING is going on haha. Ok, not really. Like I stated in a previous post, Saturday is the drag show and afterwards there is a party at the "Oz". And since none of you know what that is, it's basically the house everyone goes to after the drag show. Oh yeah, I also forgot to mention that I'll prob be the only straight person at this party. Meh, oh well, the Oz throws some pretty fun parties. Plus, I don't really have to worry about guys hitting on me...I just have to worry about girls lol, just kidding. I actually have a couple of friends who are going with me so hopefully it will be fun.
Brandon promised to take me to Noodles & Co. this weekend and well, I'm pretty stoked because their buttered noodles and parmesan chicken is AMAZING!
OMG, so there is this new show on the travel channel and I love it. It's called Dahani travels the world or some crap like that. Anyway, it's pretty nifty. This guy goes to other countries and plays their countries most famous sport. Like right now, he is playing the sport where they have those big handle/glove things and they throw a tiny ball @ the wall. I think it's what Johnny Knocksville did on Jackass only the pro's threw oranges at them. Yeaa, that's the game he is attempting to play. So yeah, it's pretty interesting. Oh and did I mention this Dahani guy is oh so sexy! Lol. Ya'll should watch it sometime.
Okie dokie, I think I've said my fair share tonight. I hope everyone has a great rest of the week. and a great Thursday...in like one minute haha. Peace out homies :-)

Drag Show
This Saturday SPECTRUM is having their semi-annual drag show. I would suggest if anyone is free, to go because it's a lot of fun. It's crazy how some of the guys REALLY look like women, and half of them dance WAY better than I could ever imagine. Anywho, it's from 8-10pm in Ball Gymnasium. It's a charity event, but it's free to get in. Feel free to bring dolla bills to give to the queens. :-) it's fun and I'll be there. So if any of you aren't doing anything Saturday come hang with me at the show. Oh, Bales will be there and I figured that'd be a good detail to mention.
Other than that, I have NO plans this weekend :-( totally boring, eh? Welp, I'm not doing anything Friday night if anyone wants to go see a movie...if not it's all good lol. I'll just hang w/ the boytoy and watch movies.
Peace out homies :-)

Over-protective?
I just realized tonight that even though my sister and I don't get along very well at times, that I'm pretty much willing to punch the daylights out of someone that hurts her. I never thought that I would be a kind of over-protective sister. I think I just feel like I need to protect her because I don't want her to go through some of the hard times I had to go through. I want my sister to be happy at all times because I know much it sucks to feel badly about something or someone.
This coming year, she may or may not play vball and I honestly want her to play. Even if she isn't playing varsity, I want her to play so she doesn't regret it later in life. I know there are times when I wish I never quit basketball because then it left me to wonder if I would have gotten any better or if maybe I would have eventually made it to the varsity level.
Maybe being over-protective isn't a bad thing, especially if it isn't taken to the extreme. But if and when I feel like someone has hurt my sister you better damn well know that I'll be right there to beat the sense into somebody. So I guess if that means I'm over-protective than I am very over-protective. No one deserves to go through such heartaches, especially my little sister. And if I can prevent it from happening, then I'll do it.
Anywho, kind of random post but yeah...it's how I feel right now.

Easter Weekend
My weekend was filled with many fun and exciting things...
Friday, my Mom came to Muncie with my sister for prom dress shopping. Which turns out, I kind of miss. It's like the one time, other than getting married, when a girl can get all super fancy looking and it's ok. Anyway, my sister picked out this really cute long, white dress. It looks so good on her! We went out to eat at Johnny Carino's with Brandon and that was fun I guess. I wasn't really in the mood for italian, I actually wanted Noodles and Co., even tho it's kind of italian too lol. I can't help it, I was in the mood for butter noodles and parmesan(sp) chicken. It's just soo yummy! Then I went home, woo hoo! Yeah...it wasn't that great haha. Anyway, I met Ashley at her house around 10 for a party and I then picked up miss Eva. I was surprised to see a lot of people at the party...sometimes it doesn't seem that many people go. The party was kind of awkward because not many of the people there were really friends of mine in high school. I actually felt like a couple of people were burning holes in my skull and I honestly don't know why and frankly I don't really care either. After a while, we went to another party. This was more my crowd, it was chill and just hanging out. Plus, I got to sit on a comfy couch lol. So, the whole time we were there this guy, Matt was hitting on me. So when it was time to leave I basically told him he could stop flirting with me and that I was happily taken and although it was flattering, he could stop lol. Let's just say I pissed him off with that comment lol. I don't think I've ever done that to a person before and it actually felt really good to just say what I'm thinking. I think I should do it more often, as long as it doesn't get me in trouble hehe. We then left, and I had to slam on the breaks at one point in the night because stupid effin deer ran out in front of the mini van. Yes, I drove a mini van to two parties. Hawt, I know haha.
Saturday......
I didn't do a damn thing all day haha. Ok, I lied. I had an family Easter in Bluffton and I'm pretty sure my family has officially scared Brandon lol. They are soo crazy. Honestly, I don't think anyone's family can compare to the antics that my family pulls. They act like an italian family and well, they are crazy lol. My aunts ALWAYS bicker at each other and their husbands. My 6 mo. pregnant cousin was there, and so her mom was complaining more than usual about what she should eat. Poor, poor Brandon...I'm probably going to be an old naggy biotch one day haha. Oh who am I kidding? I kind of am now LOL. Well, except for the old part, I'm still young. Anywho, that was a pretty productive Easter. Oh yeah, then I went to my Dad's house, whom I haven't seen since March 7th. I missed him a lot, he is such a goofball. I also saw my grandma and that was nice bc I haven't seen her since Christmas. We all sat down and talked about lovely politics. And we have all come to the conclusion that we hate Mitch Daniels, and that it's BS that schools aren't getting money from the stimulus crap. Oh and that SW is even considering cutting the music/band dept. So yeah, interesting conversations lol.
Sunday......
I had another family Easter and it was really nice to relax and just talk, no complaining. In a couple days is my step cousin, Calvin's bday, he will be 12. I remember when he was like in elementary school and he makes me feel sooooo old lol. Gwenny, his sister, is going to take drivers training this summer and it's just crazy how fast time flies! So after an eventful Sunday, my Mom took me back to Muncie, where I am now. I took a fun word origins test and I pulled off a 75%. And that's actually good for this class lol.
Anywho, my weekend was kind of fun and very interesting. I hope everyone else had a good Easter weekend, filled with crazy times, family and friends. And I'm pretty jealous that a couple people I know saw the new Hannah Montana movie....not cool lol. Welp, that's my weekend in a very long nutshell haha. I miss you all!
A little note that I forgot to add in the original. My sister made me bite my tongue and lip while we were playing a "friendly" game of bball with our family. She then proceeded to hit me in the face with the van door upon leaving bsu. Yea, my sister is abusive lol.

Bored...
So it's Thursday night and I'm stuck at Brandon's apartment, sitting beside him, in the dark, while he is sleeping. Yes, I know this kind of sounds creeperish, but it really isn't. He has to work at like 330 or 4am so he went to sleep around 8. It seems crazy, but he does what he needs to to spoil me :-) hehe.
Anyway, Easter is this weekend and I'm actually kind of excited for it. Not only do I have two family dinners to go to, but supposedly there is a party going on and well, I'll be there. One, I haven't drank in quite a while, and two I miss some of the people from high school.
Today was amazing! It was soo nice outside and the sun was shining. I love spring, it leads to much nicer things, like flowers, warm weather, and of course, summer! I love being able to go outside with flip-flops, also known as slippers (Corey), jeans, and a t-shirt. There's no need for that stupid extra layer of clothing, unless of course you have a freezing classroom. Ugh, the only down-side to spring is the rain and storms. Oh how I hate storms, they freak me out! Um well for now that's all I got lol.
I wish everyone a happy Easter and good weekend!
Peace out home slices, hehe :-)
